The Innocence Project in New York is a national organization that handles post-conviction cases in which DNA testing can prove innocence and overturn a wrongful conviction. The Innocence Project is a member and serves as the headquarters of the Innocence Network. In 2012, the Innocence Network Support Unit (“NSU”) was established. A department of the Innocence Project, the NSU provides customized organizational development support to individual Network members, such as the Los Angeles Innocence Project.
